Types and Costs of Training

In addition to the ongoing trainings held at UVA and UNC-Greensboro, certified CLASS trainers are available to come to your site. For additional information, contact us at 1-866-301-8278, ext. 4.

The content of these trainings can be tailored to meet your specific needs, but general options include:

Reliability Training
Length	Audience	Training Components
2 days	Researchers or others gathering standardized data using the CLASS	Familiarization with CLASS dimensions, practice coding from master-coded video, and a reliability test. Follow-up consultation is available for those who do not meet initial reliability criteria.
Cost at UVA or UNC-G:	$670 per person. This fee includes breakfast and lunch, a CLASS manual and other training materials, but does not include travel or lodging accommodations. Groups of 5 or more are eligible for a 10% discount.
Cost at your location:	For up to 15 people: $3000 plus materials/instructor travel For up to 30 people: $5000 plus materials/instructor travel Details: Certified CLASS trainers can train up to 15 people in a 2-day workshop at your site. The fee for this training is typically $3000 plus costs for additional materials and travel expenses. Additional trainers are required for more people.

Professional Development & Reliability Training

3 days	Those interested in using the CLASS framework as a professional development tool for working with teachers. This training may be geared toward classroom consultants, mentors, administrators, or master teachers.	Includes two-day reliability training plus familiarization with the CLASS dimensions, practice coding from master-coded video, and training on a system for providing feedback to teachers based on CLASS dimensions.
Cost at your location:	For up to 15 people: $4000 plus materials/instructor travel For up to 30 people: $7000 plus materials/instructor travel Details: Certified CLASS trainers can train up to 15 people in a 3-day workshop at your site. The fee for this training is $4000 plus costs for additional materials and travel expenses. Additional trainers are required for more people.

Overview and Professional Development Training (Does not include Reliability)

2 days	Those interested in using the CLASS framework as a professional development tool for working with teachers. This training may be geared toward classroom consultants, mentors, administrators, or master teachers.	Includes familiarization with the CLASS dimensions, practice coding from master-coded video, and training on a system for providing feedback to teachers based on CLASS dimensions. This 2-day training does not include reliability testing but that may be included in a third day.
Cost at your location:	For up to 25 people: $3000 plus materials/Instructor travel Details: Certified CLASS trainers can train up to 25 people in a 2-day workshop at your site. The fee for this training is typically $3000 plus costs for additional materials and travel expenses.

Train-the-Trainer Workshop
Length	Audience	Training Components
4 days	Those interested in using the CLASS on a large scale who want to be able to train others to use the CLASS measure.	Training includes 2 days of initial reliability training and 2 days of Train-the-Trainer workshop.
Cost at UVA or UNC-G:	$1,085 per person. This fee includes breakfast and lunch, a CLASS manual and other training materials, but does not include travel or lodging accommodations. Groups of 5 or more are eligible for a 10% discount. **Additional costs will apply for materials required to conduct trainings for your organization.
Cost at Your Location:	This training is not offered at your location. Only offered on-site at UNC-G or UVA.
